This unit covers the seven most frequently used future tenses in English. As there are so many different future tenses, each with their own nuances, this is one of the most complex areas of English for learners. Some of these tenses have rather subtle differences. For instance, when stating a decision, if it is a spontaneous decision the future simple tense is used (ex: \"I'll go with you.\") while for decisions made before speaking the going to future tense is used (ex: \"I'm going to the beach tomorrow.\"). I also learned several activities for practicing these tenses in the classroom, such as role-playing trying to get out of plans using the future continuous tense and making vacation plans using the going to future tense.
