This unit gave me a refresher and detailed overview of what is one of the trickiest subjects for English learners and even native speakers: tenses, more specifically present tenses. For starters, although I use all of the forms on a daily basis, I did not know that each tense (past, present and future) could be further divided into four aspects such as simple, continuous and perfect. The most helpful sections were the breakdown of each of the forms for the tense (affirmative, negative and question) and the types of errors that I could then anticipate from my students regarding these forms and the actions I would take to correct it. Furthermore, I appreciated the list of ideas on incorporating these tenses into my lesson plans.
