This unit offers a good overview of the skills of listening and reading. When it comes to English, these two skills are a strong point for students. As said in the unit, a student can read the same thing countless times to try to understand it if it does not make sense the first time or the first few times. Ultimately, listening and reading are important for the students to be able to process information that they are intaking. Listening will also help the student know what sounds 'right' when speaking or writing and what sounds 'wrong'. Soon, their eyes and ears will be trained to spot error when a certain skill level is reached. This unit demonstrates how those skills can be honed and why it is important that they are honed.
