Learning to deal with different types of classes is useful as you can find yourself in many different classrooms throughout your teaching career and it is necessary to be able to deal with all of them successfully. I found the most usefully section to be the reluctant student section as this is present in almost all classrooms and can have a negative effect on the rest of the students if it is not attended to.This unit focuses on the difference between an ineffective lesson versus an effective one. The first video displayed an intimidating teaching style that was not effective on the students, causing them to clam up and not participate in the class. The second lesson was much more engaging as the teacher smiled more, explained things better and used vocabulary that was more at the students' level of understanding.
