This unit talked about the most commonly needed areas of grammar teaching, i.e. the parts of speech in a sentence (the simplest form of grammar structure). It introduced nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs (transitive and intransitive), adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions. Although not a deep look into all of these components, the unit tried to give a basic knowledge of them that must ultimately be enhanced.The able of usages of common modals in English is very useful, something which I can frequency use as reference or adapt into a handout for students, as some struggle to distinguish them. I thought this Unit's explanation of phrases verbs could have been clearer with more examples, especially for type one. Perhaps a table similar to that used to explain modals with many examples to make the difference clearer.
