This unit offered some helpful ideas with respect to special students, including beginners, children, and business people. One area that would also be helpful to address would be teaching English to pre-literate learners: students who have no basic literacy in their native language. I have found even grasping language structures and learning how to hold a pen/pencil can be very challenging for these learners!This unit taught about If-sentences, also known as Conditional Sentences, Conditional Clauses or If Clauses. They are used to express that the action in the main clause/sentence (without if) can only take place if a certain condition (in the clause/sentence with if) is fulfilled. There are four types of Conditional Sentences: Zero, First, Second and Fourth. The form of zero is used in reported speech primarily.
