This unit covered the importance of the receptive skills reading and listening. Whether we are reading or listening for a purpose or for entertainment the importance of understanding the grammar and vocabulary are equally important. I think this is because to truly understand a language we must be able to grasp context, which is made much more difficult if we only partially understand something we read or hear.How exciting was this unit ! During classes I have taught, I realized how easy can be a lesson when it has been well prepared and organized. If it's sometimes obvious, because of habits of teaching or the easiness of the topics, and feels unneeded, a lesson plan can be effective if the teacher planned some back up activities, or changing the plan if the class is not learning correctly enough to follow the plan.
