Class room management is vital to the student's learning. Important factors to keep in ming is the class room arrangement, which will vary depending on the size of the class. The half circle or horse shoe is ideal for smaller classes creating a less dominate and intimate class room atmosphere. Orderly rows are often best for larger classes and is an easier way for the teacher to monitor the class room as a whole.Unit 11 covered the two receptive skills - reading and listening. It introduced the two general reasons why we use our receptive skills, for a purpose and for entertainment. I was interested in the list that summarized the different ways we read and how we we can help English learners with language difficulty. Even though this was a short chapter, it provided some helpful information that is worth remembering.
