In this unit I learned about lesson planning. It is important to maintain consistency in each lesson so students feel prepared and know the layout of each class. Students will feel more confident when they know what to expect during each lesson. Using the straight arrow way of planning suits my teaching style the best. The boomerang style is great for students that struggle with particular aspects of a lesson.These concepts were straightforward . The lesson planning ideas were also creative. The suggested activities were familiar and applicable . The unit was very good in reminding us that there are other aspects of language that must be imparted to our students. The importance of language functions, for example was a very good element which is easy to forget as we get caught up in vocabulary and language structures .
