This unit discussed how to solve various problems that may occur in an ESL classroom. Having gone through a few of them myself, I really appreciated this unit. It gave some good ideas and suggestions to make better use of instructional time and get students engaged and participating. I usually have students work in pairs and do worksheets and role-playing, since many of my classes are large, and quite a few are shy.This unit allowed me to understand the smaller details of what makes a classroom efficient and enjoyable to the students and the teacher. I learned how the shape of the seats in the classroom and the way the teacher presents themselves in front of the class affects the learning environment of the students. I also learned how to deal with unruly/ problem students, as well as some reasons behind the behavioral issues.
