Teach English in Zhuchang Miaozu Yizu XiAng - Bijie Shi
This unit was about modals, phrasal verbs, and passive voice. Modal auxiliary verbs are used before other verbs and can be used to express obligation, possibility, permission, ability, or advice. Some teaching ideas are role play, rules, and signs. The passive voice is used when it is not known, or not important, or we don't want to say, exactly who performs the action. Only transitive verbs can be used in the passive. A relative clause is a dependent clause that modifies a noun. It describes, identifies, or gives further information about a noun. It can also be called an Adjective Clause. There are two types of relative clauses, defining and non-defining. Defining clauses is when the information is essential to the meaning of the sentence and does not use commas. A non-defining clause is when the information is not essential to the meaning of the sentence and uses commas. The last part of the unit was about Phrasal Verbs. There are three types of phrasal verbs, intransitive, transitive separable and transitive inseparable. I need more practice on phrasal verbs.
