This lesson discussed teaching productive skills which are speaking and writing (including games). Neither speaking or writing are more impotent than the other and it is helpful to understand and make it somewhat evident the necessity behind speaking and writing. Two types of activities discussed in this lesson are accuracy and fluency. There are various speaking activities in which students are encouraged of speak. Different techniques are used to do so and the lesson outlines a typical creative speaking lesson following the ESA language pattern. Yet, these exercises should follow certain guidelines in order to be effective and be followed with feedback. Writing skills, such as spelling, and handwriting. The layout and punctuation of a new language can significantly determine effectiveness of learning but creative writing can be a great activity. The unit proceeds to give an example of a typical writing activity lesson once again following the ESA language teaching structure. The unit concludes with talking about how games can contribute positively to teaching productive skills.
