A good teacher is someone who loves teaching and cares about their students learning, and this natural overflow or caring should help motivate the learners to want to learn and to also set a good learning environment. Also, a good teacher needs to help prompt and show the learner how they too can also be better learners by inspiring their motivation and reminding them of their responsibility in the learning process. A good teacher will also keep in mind the audience or the type of student she/he has and therefore respond with different styles of teaching. He/She can gage this based on the learners being adult or young learners but also understanding what could affect their motivation. Adults might need more encouragement to not be nervous, whereas young learners might need personal reasons to stay motivated and engaged. Also, in this unit it is important to understand the subtle differences in different language levels, and I imagine this can help a teacher understand if all the students are on the same level, or possible have subtle distinctions and need a different level or speed.
