This lesson covered the present tense in the four forms of present simple, present continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. The present tense is used to discuss things that are habitual, currently happening, and continuous. Present will be the first tense that many English students learn due to its importance. I had forgotten the names of each verb tense and how to break down how they are constructed so it was a valuable refresher for me. This will especially be important for new English learners because it provides a way for them to construct their thoughts. I especially liked the activities suggested for the activate phase of student learning because these will help increase understanding of how to use each verb tense. I remember when I was learning Spanish for the first time we did and activity where we had to make a little comic book of our morning routine with all present tense. This might be a good option for simple present and for present perfect continuous I could apply the game Mr. Wolf to encourage students to construct questions and answers in this tense.
