This unit covers theories, methods and techniques that a required to have a good and successful lesson. I feel that I have learnt a lot from this unit because it has availed me the opportunity to looked at the various teaching techniques and methodologies. Initially my view was different but now I know after having gone through this unit am convinced beyond all reasonable doubt that Jeremy Harmer's methodology is the most effective methodology. That's the Engage, Study and Activate because it allows different methods to be incorporated. The ESA has touched different areas which are very useful especially the lesson plan, how to go about introducing the lesson, monitoring the class, how to ask questions and how to respond to students and how to evaluate them also one thing that I have learnt is that teachers need to sometimes leave the students to work out things for themselves unless it is absolutely necessary for the teacher to step in. In other to have a successful lesson plan or to achieve our lesson plan objectives these are important things and activities that needs to be practice.
