During the first unit I have deepened my understanding of both participants of the learning process, i.e. a teacher and a learner respectively. A teacher can take many different roles (manager, model, tutor, prompter, facilitator, observer, participant etc.) during one lesson depending on the number of students in class and type of activity. Learners of various age groups, as a rule, differ in behaviour, level of motivation, life and language experience, which can either help or interfere with the learning process. And that is a task of a GOOD teacher to know strengths and weaknesses of a learner and find an approach to everyone. When organizing a learning process, a teacher should first take into account the language level a learner has. There are six internationally accepted levels of ability of language: 1) Beginner; 2) Elementary; 3) Pre-intermediate; 4) Intermediate; 5)Upper-intermediate; 6)Advanced. To sum up, this unit helped me to make sure once again that good teacher-learner relationship is an inevitable part of a learning process. \"Good\" teachers usually have \"good\" students.
