Planning a lesson is very important to me, knowing how much time to spend on each section helps and saves time, but you should be flexible as well. If you see students are enjoying an activity, spend more time on that activity, you can always carry on in the next lesson if the time has run out. Knowing what needs to be included in a lesson plan is also important. For example, keeping it simple and being organized saves a lot of time. You should know what the objective of the learner should be after the lesson, what they have learnt. What is the aim of the teacher, what does the teacher wish to achieve in the lesson. A lesson plan should include language point, showing the theme on what your lesson is base upon. The lesson plan should include teaching materials/aids. There should be time allotted for each section of the lesson plan as well, to make sure that you can cover everything, but it is ok if you can not get through everything, you can be flexible. You need to know when to activate the \"engage, study and activate\" phase of the lesson, but most importantly, keep it simple and have fun.
