This unit was all about how to teach different groups of students. Going in to this course, I wasn't really sure if I wanted to teach young learners or business learners, and to be honest, I'm still not so sure. However after this unit, I am leaning a bit more towards the young learners. Kids can be so much fun to work with, and I admit that I'm still a bit of a kid at heart. I plan on teaching in Korea and I worried a lot about the fact that I can't speak Korean. I am learning, but I'm far from even being able to hold a simple conversation. I wondered how it would work to teach a group of students who know no English whatsoever when I speak little to no Korean. It's encouraging and relieving to me that we should avoid using their own language. I really liked all the different ideas and tips for teaching beginners. There are so many fun things you can do with kids and I think that doing fun games and activities and such would make the teaching experience more enjoyable for me personally. Out of all the units so far, I think this one has excited me the most about becoming an English teacher.
