I was surpirsed at how the teacher used a drawing activity for the activate part of the lesson. I think that out of fear that the activity wouldn't interest students of their age, I would have chosen a more advanced but duller activity. This choice would of been wrong as the activate stage of this lesson turned out to be really enjoyable for the students and allowed students to produce the correct kind of language. The first video was awkward to watch. the negative emotions given off by the teacher were enough to basically ruin the entire lesson. There was no consideration for the student and it reminded me of a teacher who is fed up of their work and is looking forward to home time. Even as an external viewer i found that the second video seemed a lot shorter than the first, again it's proof of how important it is to be engaging and possitive in the classroom. I believe myself to be a very outgoing person who can generate that in students. I found myselfc comparing my own style with that of the teacher in the video and was pleased to find that I am closer to the style shown in the second video.
