Teaching beginners can be one of the most rewarding. Beginners can be categorized as, but not limited to, absolute beginner, false beginner, young beginner and adult beginner. Adults usually made a choice to be there and are often more motivated than young learners who has no choice. Young learners on the other hand often pick up new information more easily. You should pace your lessons, don't try to do to much. Focus on what is easy and be aware of your students needs. Use English as much as possible and encourage students to do the same. Do not over correct as this negatively impacts self esteem and participation. It's better to be over prepared. There is no real need to know anything about business in order to teach English to business students. Students in business classes often vary in age and ability so it is important to establish what they need, as individuals, and as a whole. This is achieved by a needs analysis prior to commencement of the course and will give you a better idea of what to focus on. Be presentable and remember, you are an expert on the English language, not on business.
