The two videos show clearly the differences and tells us how the teacher's attitude and his/her lesson planning are important. In the first video the teacher were impatient and not aware of potential students problems and with almost no teaching aids or body language to help the students' understanding, whereas in the second lesson, the teacher's attitude from the begin was very helpful to built up good rapport with the students in the class. The teacher well structured each phase and linked them smoothly. In each phase, especially study phase, the teacher wrote on board the verbs and animal names and the example sentences in a way very easy for students to understand and produce the can and cant sentences. The teacher also used thoughtful teaching aids like pictures, miming, worksheets, as well as pair work, drilling pronunciation, and gap filling exercises to consolidate the language point of the lesson. The first video didn't seem to be natural though, because mistakes were too many and in almost every teaching step which doesn't seem to be real. Mark is a good teacher and a good actor too!
