Unit 3 was so compact. It was so much information to be be absorbed. Honestly, while going through this unit I felt like I was literally preparing my lesson plan for my class filled with diverse students. Unit 2 went in-depth teaching me about the different methodologies and teaching theories. First of all, there are no write or wrong method because using any method is dependent on the group of students, cultural background, learning style and so on.There were nine (9) these are: Grammar-Translation; Audio-Lingualism; Presentation, Practice & Production; Task-Based Learning; Communicative Language Teaching; Community Language Learning; The Silent Way; Suggestopaedia; The Lexical Approach. Of all the methods, the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method is what is used in this course. There are different types of ESA approcaches that can be used such as the Straight Arrow lesson, Boomerang Lesson and Patchwork Lesson. I learned that there is a difference between mistake and error. Overall, it is very important for me to be aware and mindful when correcting, I have to consider my tone, time, why and so on.
