Unit 17 covers equipment and teaching aids. The unit starts by listing the many tools and aids we might use in teaching language. It then gives a more in-depth explanation of each of items. We learn how best to make use of these tools as well as the advantages and disadvantages of each tool. We are also given a massive list of resources that can be used for teaching ideas or as direct tools or materials for use in the classroom.This unit covered specifically what it would be like to teach business English, as this is apparently a highly-needed position within the world of teaching English to foreign speakers. It was interesting to note that the classroom structure may need to be set up differently especially for a business English class - this is the result of different demographics within the class, varying class times, and interest levels in general.
