The topic of this unit is teaching receptive skills-reading and listening. It explained why it is important, how to read and listen effectively, also it explained how to plan a good lesson from choose topics, create interest, give tasks. At the end,it provide a example reading materials include essay, exercises. Through this lesson, I have learnt choose good topic wisely and have a interesting start in a lesson is very important.This is the hardest chapter by far. Although the explanations from previous chapters referred to Engage->Study->Activate, etc. as the main lesson plan flow, this enters some seriously complex territory all at once. I think the goal of this unit was to elicit details about engaging, studying, and activating the information for the students. And it works, although this requires quite a bit of practice and thought to fully work out.
