Unit 15 covered different placement and assessment testing tools available for use to determine and incoming students language skill level ant to determine the progress students are making throughout the course. Practice test, used to prepare students for external certification exams, was also discussed. It was stated that practice tests should match the content and structure of the external test that the student's will be taking.As a very short unit, with some of it being a repetition of previous units, there is not a lot of room for reflection for this unit! I do like the ball-toss game idea, as that forces a student to ask a question of another student, which could help reduce the tension of talking directly to the teacher. I disagree with stopping all native language use, as I find it can help a lot with explaining concepts from one student to another.
