This unit described the past tenses of words in the English language. The past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous forms were all identified and discussed. Also, the irregular verbs were listed, which I thought was very helpful as it can be a tricky area for foreign students learning English to grasp. Additionally, this unit gave examples of situations that would allow for each of the tenses to be used.I am getting really tired of having to identify which portion of the lesson is such-and-such phase. This is very difficult for me, even after reviewing it multiple times. Can I teach the lesson? Yes. Can I create a lesson utilizing these techniques? Yes. Can I always identify which phase of the lesson it is? No. In fact, I rarely can. It has dropped my average grades on several lessons. The rest of this section was actually enjoyable.
