This unit talked about the various past tenses, ranging from the past simple all the way to the past perfect continuous. It taught the form, gave examples of usage,and also cited some common errors associated with each tense. I was already familiar with the material from he majority of the unit. However, I did learn examples of how to teach each tense such as playing detective for the past continuous and card games for the simple past.I have studied verb conjugation in 3 different languages since childhood. It is much easier to learn in Romance languages, where the conjugations are more clear and obvious and not quite as frequently irregular as English. Despite English being my native language, the verb conjugations are tricky. However, this unit broke it down into formulae for each conjugation, and this will make it clear and easy to teach to non-native speakers.
