Learning about time management is one of the most important factors we as teachers should take into consideration since it directly affects the students' performance during the class and English skills. As a matter of fact, English classes should ideally be oriented to students talk time meaning the students are the core of the class, therefore, they should be the ones taking and thge teacher should only be the facilitator of the class.This unit contains a lot of very useful advice in the teaching of language. I found the section on teacher talking time and student talking time particularly helpful to me as I am coming from a background of having been taught a foreign language at school with almost no opportunity to practice speaking. The unit covers the role of the teacher managing classes and obtaining the correct level of student participation in a variety of ways.
