First I feel I have become more aware of language. I have found myself listening and hearing language all around me. What I had always used and found around me and taken for granted has become a very real and complex part of my life. I guess taking this course has sensitized me to language and its complexities (the everyday art of communicating). So how then can we go about teaching the same? Which brings me to methodology (different approaches to teaching english in a classroom) that?s where I found the course to also be of great help providing me with a structure that I was comfortable with. You might say that the course gave me a method that I fELT I could use in the classroom (?ESA? ? Engage, Study and Activate). A method where I could have the flexibility to apply everyday language tasks (lessons) for presentation to my students. Also the course has given me the ability to find information for the classroom, (lessons, grammar, activities, and etc.) to interrupt that same information and apply the same.
