I have gained confidence in my ability to effectively teach english to learners of all ages. Before this course I had no formal teaching experience, but now I feel like I can confidently lead a classroom of english learners. I have gained many ideas for classroom activities and ways to make language learning fun, interactive, and effective. I have gained a greater appreciation for english grammar, and I?ve gained a host of resources for teaching english as a second language. Lastly, I have gained a greater understanding for the types of factors that should be considered in the classroom, including cultural differences, students? confidence, and a friendly learning environment. I plan to always keep my lessons interesting and fun by using classroom activities and games to aid in learning. I plan to choose topics consistent with students? interests to help increase motivation. I also plan to establish a welcoming environment in the classroom by getting to know students, sharing information about myself, and allowing students to interact with and get to know each other through english.
