This unit focuses on the past tenses (past simple, past continuous, etc). It is not a long unit, but I have benefited from it in two main ways: 1-I studied the past perfect continuous. I learnt this tense years ago when I started learning English, but I don?t use it very much in everyday speaking. Therefore I think that a ?forced? revision of this tense from time to time is a must. 2-When I teach verb tenses to secondary students, I usually focus on form and usage, which as a teaching approach may become a bit a ?formalistic? sometimes. The unit gave me other perspective to teaching tenses since in addition to form and usage, it also explains common student mistakes/ errors as well as some teaching ideas.
