This unit dealt with the present tenses: simple, simple continuous, present perfect, and present perfect continuous. Each of these tenses communicate actions that occur in the present, but in the case of present perfect (and p.p. continuous), the past is related to present actions or states of being. Within each of these four tenses there are also three forms: affirmative, negative, and question. More than anything else, I learned to correlate the names of these tenses to the forms they take. It's easy as a native speaker to forget the names of these tenses and to be able to articulate how they function. This unit was perfect for helping me drill this information and be able to articulate how to navigate within each example.
