This was one of the harder units for me. Throughout each unit I try to visualize ways of how I would teach this material to my students in a clear and understandable way. Fortunately in English the past tense of a word is said the same way for all people (I, you, he/she/it, we, they) except for the exception of \"to be\". Students again will have to use the simple idea of memorization when dealing with words like catch (caught), do (was), buy (bought), and all the others. Fortunately if one understands present tense many of the different forms of the past tense relate pretty well to the present tense forms. The context of the sentence/what is being said is always important and if understood will increase understanding significantly.
