This unit is about how to how to examine, test and evaluate students from the beginning of a course, throughout and at the end of the course. It explains how essential is to level the students to be able to create efficient and effective groups;to understand their needs and goals; the banding of EFL related to CEF and ALTE. The most important part for me though the one about syllabus design, it gave me essentialnew information about the different types related to specific needs of a course also mentioning reasonable limitations of creating one freely. Finally the last part of the unit is about specific assessment types to measure the efficacy of a course and monitor progress. It also suggest course evaluation to get useful feedback.
