This unit was all about English pronunciations. This was, by far, the hardest unit thus far of the course. As a native English speaker, I typically don't worry about stress, intonation, or articulation of my speech so this was all very foreign to me. The unit discussed major topics within the realm of pronunciation such as the phonetic alphabet, mouth structures, and even syllable stress. I learned so much from every single page in the unit. The most important thing I learned was the phonetic alphabet chart. This chart will be super useful when teaching ESL to make sure all the students are on the same page when pronouncing new words. I will definitely be going back to this unit frequently to study more pronunciation tips and tricks.
