This unit covered the basics of teacher-student relationships, what makes up good teachers and students, and an overview of the learning process, including elements that influence this. For example, the students motivation and their age. One of the key take-away's from this lesson is that a good teacher is not just one who teaches well in terms of content, but one that communicates care and concern for the student and their learning process. Even if a teacher can accurately teach the content, but cannot win the student themselves, they are likely to have poor results in the classroom. The teachers goal should be to encourage a hunger for self-motivated learning by winning the student and making their lessons interesting and engaging.
