This unit was very important because reading and listening are both very important aspects of learning. I found the different types of reading very interesting, as well as the facts on motivation. It is true though, based on motivation/purpose I will read every word, or just look for the general main idea. For examples, often if we are assigned a huge article to read, I will spend time reading it, but only get the general idea. Where as if it is a novel that I have chosen and am really interested in, I remember every detail. I wish I did that with everything I read, I think then I would spend much less time re reading. I enjoyed the activities mentioned for comprehension and it is defiantly something I plan to use in the future! Thanks!
