This unit covers the intricacies of when to use different tenses in past form. They largely follow the same formula as Unit 5 explained i.e. Subject + Aux Verb is (in past form 'was') + Verb (ing). The first two are straightforward with usage. Past simple being something that is completed and continuous being something that was in progress, in the past.
