This unit focuses on teaching aids and equipment that can be employed in the classroom. The unit explores different teaching aids and their use: these include boards (black or white), interactive whiteboards, projectors, visual aids like pictures, realia or photos, cassette recorders, cd, videos and DVD players and n photocopiers. Advantages and disadvantages of each are also stated. Further, the use of worksheets, work cards, textbooks, resource books and dictionaries is discussed. Then, the unit focuses on computers and which are their main uses in teaching the English language. Lastly, a wide overview of possible online resources is given and links to the most important websites that a teacher can use a teaching resource are reported.
