This unit was short and sweet. It outlined the importance of receptive skills of learning a new language. I think that receptive skills are the foundation of learning a new language because if you cannot receive the new language efficiently, it will be very difficult of a student to learn the other parts of the language such as grammar and conjugation. The unit also included many good examples and work sheets for lessons about receiving skills such as reading and listening. A helpful tip from this lessons was to make sure to pick topics that will interest all students over time because topics of interest can change between cultures, genders and age. I will have fun preparing lessons looking for good topics that will interest all students.
