This unit is mainly about the characteristics and roles of being a good teacher and the factors that might have inferences on the results of learning English for learners. My views on being a good teacher are to be sensitive, caring, knowledgeable,enthusiastic and encouraging, as well as to possess the ability of changing or combining the different roles mentioned in this unit naturally after a great deal of practice and introspection. At the same time, a good teacher really need to know the backgrounds of the students he/she is going to teach in advance. Age,learning experience,motivation,culture, language level and so on all should be counted in since a teacher need to design the class plan and activities according to these factors.
