This unit was especially useful in reminding me that there are exceptions in grammar, and points out a lot of key areas in future and present tenses that will be trouble spots for students. I am reminded that having succinct ways of explaining when and why certain tenses are used and not others is really important for moving students forward. I need to practice memorizing these usage rules so that I am not left shuffling through my notes to help students when they have a question. Future tense includes one extra tense form: Going to- future. This is different from present and past tenses, and should not get confused with present simple and present continuous which can also be used to talk about future facts/events/plans/arrangements...etc.
