In this unit various techniques, methods and theories of teaching are examined. The method or technique to be used will generally depend on the language level of the students and to some extent the culture. Summarily, it can be said that any teaching method or technique used should actively involve all students and prompt them to participate in class. Monotony and prediction should be avoided and games, interesting activities and tasks should be incorporated in lessons to keep both the teacher and student alert and motivated.
