This unit focused on problems that commonly occur in the classroom. Some of the helpful topics discussed were first lessons, different levels, large classes, reluctant students, and more. Prior to reading this unit I understood it is important to make the class environment comfortable and welcoming for students, but I actually was not aware that students should not use the textbook during the first class. From my own experiences I was aware that language classes have students at different levels, but this unit really into into depth with how that problem can be dealt with. I felt this unit was important for new teachers to read because it not only listed issues that can occur, but also discussed how to deal with these issues before they occur.
