This unit covers different techniques that can be applied into lessons. Songs, chants and music can be used at all ages of English teaching. However, it is an effective memorization technique for younger learners. Games can also be used to teach inside the classroom. Certain aspects of games must be altered in order to accommodate the teaching point of the lesson. Stories help develop learners? reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. After reading this unit, I learned that choosing certain themes heavily depend on the culture, age and level of the learners. In addition, lessons do not heavily need to rely a course book. It?s safe to implement relevant activities to make sure learning a new language for them is also enjoyable.
