In unit 1, I have learnt what makes a good teacher as well as a good student. A teacher can have different roles such as manager/controller, organizer, assessor, prompter, participant, tutor, facilitator, model, etc. Characteristics of good students include the followings, willing to listen, desire to experiment, willing to ask questions, able to think about their own learning process etc. There are different language levels ranging from beginners to advanced. The Common European Framework also categorize language learning in different levels. There are many reasons why students attend English classes, for career prospects, travel purposes, improve grade, study abroad, communicate with friends, or simply out of interest of learning a language.
