This unit talks about the teaching of receptive skills which are reading and listening. It mentions that there are four basic skills in any language which are: reading, listening,speaking and writing. It also says all the four are equally important and necessary to incorporate all in a lesson.Here we can find the reasons for reading and listening which are:for a purpose or for entertainment. It tells us what a teacher should consider when choosing a text or a dialogue and how the lesson should be taught. I have learned a good number of skills to use when reading or listening and a good number of ways to solve problems affecting the teaching of reading and listening negatively.I have also learned the basic keys to a successful receptive lesson.
