In Unit 8 I learned all about the future tense. The unit starts off by listing the seven most common structures used for forming the future tense. I was shocked to see that there are so many different ways to form and use the future tense in English. The use of \"be going + infinitive,\" \"the present simple\" and \"the present continuous\" as ways to express the future were all new to me. I had never really thought of these structures as being ways to express the future. It was really interesting for me to learn about the various usages for each different structure. However, my favorite part of the unit was reading the teaching ideas at the end of each section and seeing how I can put what I will teach the students to use in the classroom.
