Unit 4 provided a lot of information about the tense system, focusing specifically on present tenses. It covered the present simple, present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous tenses. For each of those four, the unit explained their form (the grammatical formula), usages (how the tense is used), highlighted typical student errors and suggested teaching ideas. I found this unit difficult to get through because of the density of the information provided. Working through it slowly enabled me to digest the content. Learning and re-learning the tense forms helped me the most when it came to identifying the tense of particular sentences. I will definitely have to keep referring back to this section of the course as I continue.
