This unit emphasises on the ESA structures stating that there is not always one definite way of teaching sometime they can make use of each structure. However it is likely but not limited to that when teaching new vocabulary to lower level students you would use the 'straight arrow approach' which make sense because the lesson needs to stay simple. Teaching students who are on higher levels the use of more complex structures would suit such as the boomerang or patchwork.
